Answers to common questions. If yours isn’t here, email jonny@jknkmedia.com and we’ll get back to you.

How do I create a routine?

From the Today screen, tap the “+” button. Pick a starting template (Morning, Evening, Bedtime) or start from scratch, adjust the name, time, and checklist items, then tap Start.

How do I edit, reorder, or delete items in a routine?

Open the routine and tap “Edit routine.” From there you can rename items, drag to reorder them, remove items, or delete the whole routine.

Why isn’t there a streak counter, or points for finishing a routine?

On purpose. Streaks and points can turn a missed day into something that feels like a broken promise, which isn’t the experience Cue is trying to create. Cue shows you what’s next and lets you glance backward in History — nothing is scored.

Does Cue sync across my devices?

No — and this is deliberate, not a missing feature. Cue has no account system and no cloud sync, so a routine created on one device stays on that device. See our Privacy Policy for more on how your data is handled.

How do I get the home-screen widget?

iOS: long-press your home screen, tap the “+” in the top corner, search for “Cue,” and add either the main routine widget or the minimal color-only widget.

Android: long-press your home screen, tap Widgets, find “Cue” in the list, and drag either widget onto your home screen.

Tapping the widget’s next item marks it done directly — it won’t open the app.

I stopped getting my daily reminder — what should I check?

  1. Confirm notifications are allowed for Cue in your device’s system Settings.
  2. Open the routine and confirm its start time is still what you expect.
  3. Check Settings → Reminder Timing — this offsets every routine’s reminder by the same number of minutes before its start time.

How do I delete a routine, or all of my data?

Delete a single routine (and its history) from that routine’s Edit screen. To remove everything Cue has stored, uninstall the app — since nothing is stored anywhere but your device, uninstalling removes it completely.

Is Cue free?

Yes — your first routine is free, permanently, with no trial or subscription required. On top of that, Cue gives you a one-time 3-day preview when you first install it, with full access and as many routines as you want, no payment or sign-up involved. When the preview ends, nothing is charged and nothing locks up — the app just returns to the permanent one-routine free tier. If you want more than one routine after that, an optional subscription ($3.99/month or $24.99/year) unlocks unlimited routines.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed entirely through Apple or Google, not through Cue itself. iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Cue → Cancel Subscription. Android: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cue → Cancel. Cancelling stops future billing; you’ll keep access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

I reinstalled Cue or got a new device — how do I get my subscription back?

Your subscription is tied to your Apple ID or Google account, not to the app install. Reinstall Cue and sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with, and it’s recognized automatically. Note this only restores your subscription, not your data — see “Does Cue sync across my devices?” above.
